About the project
A landmark coastal residence shaped by enduring materials, artisan craftsmanship and the demands of its beachfront setting.
Set on a coveted, north-facing site beside the Collaroy Beach reserve, Grant House is a three-level sanctuary designed as a permanent, hotel-inspired retreat for family life. Inspired by architecture from Morocco, Sicily, the South of France, and Lake Garda, this residence weaves together natural stone, lime render, aged metalwork, and intricate handcrafted details to create a sense of timeless belonging within its stunning coastal environment.
Every detail of Grant House speaks to enduring quality and thoughtful craftsmanship. Built from double brick and reinforced concrete, the home features a full basement and a concrete roof for exceptional durability and acoustic performance against the elements. Travertine sourced from a single quarry flows through the interiors and exteriors, complemented by hand-burnished Venetian lime render and custom marine-grade stainless steel elements, all finished to age gracefully beside the Pacific. Inside, Italian parquetry, marble bathrooms, bespoke joinery, and a curved brass-finished bar celebrate artistry, while a dedicated wellness level and an ocean-facing master suite embody true retreat living. The result is a dynamic, highly resolved home that unites robust structure with international flair, designed to thrive amid the ever-changing rhythms of the coast and family life.
