Still Pavillion

About the project

A refined waterfront pavilion on Scotland Island, built with steel and timber.

Perched on the tranquil waterfront of Scotland Island, Pittwater, this two-storey pavilion celebrates the union of craftsmanship, structure, and nature. Anchored by a backbone of steel and timber, the home achieves a balance between strength and warmth, using natural materials that blend seamlessly into its bushland surroundings. Expansive glazing frames breathtaking water views, while the timber-lined corridors and open living spaces emphasise connection—between rooms, light, and the landscape beyond.

Despite the vast logistical challenges of building offshore, precision planning and expert execution brought this intricate design to life. Every detail has been custom-crafted, from the bespoke joinery to the seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. The result is a home that feels grounded yet open—an elegant, modern retreat that harmonises engineering ingenuity with timeless natural beauty.
